The state of health in the EU – Making European health systems fit for the future
Health systems across Europe are faced with unprecedented challenges, from population ageing, digital divide, persisting inequalities in access to quality care, increasing burden on staff resources and shortages of health professionals.
This Policy Dialogue will look into the major trends that are transforming our health systems and having an impact on people’s health. The event will start with an overview of the State of Health in the EU initiative, followed by a discussion on ways to make EU health systems more accessible, effective, resilient, and future-fit. The event will be moderated by Claire Dhéret, Head of Social Europe & Well-being Programme, European Policy Centre.
