Agriculture and Food Changemakers
The European elections bring fresh faces and a changed power structure in Brussels. As the new president of the European Commission starts implementing the work program and vision that will shape Europe over the next five years, Green Deal and Farm to Fork strategy lie at the forefront of the policymaking.
At this crucial time, POLITICO presents its Changemakers series, a platform to exchange views, ideas and examine policy issues at the start of the new legislature. As part of the series, this POLITICO Agriculture and Food Changemakers edition will springboard off a “Changemakers” article, in which POLITICO’s expert policy journalists will report on 5 key changemakers — Commission officials, MEPs, national representatives or other opinion influencers— that will shape up the debate for pesticides legislation and CAP reform.
Stella Kyriakides, EU commissioner for health and food safety will headline this event. We will discuss the future of the food policy landscape among other topics as well as the priorities of her portfolio under the new legislature.
Questions to be addressed include:
- What keeps the Changemakers up at night?
- What are their policy priorities?
- How do they see the next five years unfolding?
- Where will we see a shift in direction and style? Where should we expect continuity?
